Description A motor claims handler is currently sought to join a Personal Injury Team settling personal injury claims and associated losses. Tasks will include: To manage a portfolio of existing claims through to settlement. Use own motor claims experience and knowledge of claims processes and systems alongside fellow team members. Establish and estimate for the appropriate level of damages for personal injury and associated losses with the Third Party Solicitors. Apply proactive post and diary handling, striving to achieve service levels. Manage the files in accordance with the company procedures and policies. Ensure company best practise, FSA and other regulatory body guidelines are followed. Application of legal liability and causation to claims handling. Understand and apply referral procedures. Skills should include: Experience in making decisions regarding Liability. Motor claims experience essential. Previous PI Claims handling an advantage. Ability to analyse information, good letter writing skills, excellent telephone manner and time management skills. Sound problem solving skills. Knowledge of common law and legislation governing motor insurance Good negotiation skills. This is a great opportunity to move into more complex personal injury claims.
