Description
My client is looking to recruit a Motor Claims Team Leader for their office in Manchester. The job requires a consistent approach to Personal Injury and Third Party Damage issues in accordance with the company’s processes and procedures.
Third Party injuries currently accounts for approximately one-third of the overall claims spend. It is the area of highest claims inflation and the cases will therefore require a high degree of management and control. The area in general is a fast-changing environment with new legal precedents/statutes being regularly introduced.
The successful candidate will be required to recruit a team of people who will achieve all KPI’s in line with the business plan, act as a referral point for the whole team and control their tasks and priorities. You must have the ability to coach and mentor your staff whilst monitoring the team’s performance on a regular basis ensuring that quality, customer focus and cost control is maintained. It will be your responsibility to handle more complex customer complaints/ enquiries professionally and to understand and interpret management information so that development trends are understood and pro-active action is taken at every opportunity.
Applicants must have extensive knowledge of general claims handling, an extensive knowledge of Personal Injury file handling, ideally within the insurance industry.
They must demonstrate a good understanding of the RTA/MIB and legislation relevant to road traffic accidents and injury claims and awareness of fraud/large loss indicators.
Salary for this role expected to be around £25 however it is negotiable and dependent upon experience.
