    My clients claims department currently has a Claims Manager and 3 Claims Executives. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to recruit a Claims Assistant to help the Claims Executives manage their volume of work.

    You will be required to help with their day-to-day duties including keeping their diaries up to date, reporting claims to insurers, liaising with clients and the Accident Management Company and covering for absences e.g. sickness, holidays.

    The ideal candidate will have a minimum education standard of 6 A-C GCSE’s and have a minimum of 12 months experience working in a commercial insurance environment. Basic computer literacy is important including knowledge of Excel. Good communication skills essential.

    There is potential for progression to development to Claims Executive within the organisation for the right candidate.

    Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with a holiday allowance of 20 days plus bank holidays. The company also offer a benefits package including a contributory pension scheme – 3% contribution, life assurance – Benefit 2 x salary and permanent health insurance – 60% salary after 13 weeks absence.

    The basic salary scale is £12000 to £16000 dependent on experience however this may be higher if the candidate is exceptional.
