Description As Head of Compliance Working within this high profile start up organisation you will ensure that the Compliance function provides Senior Management with clear guidance on regulatory issues affecting the organisations business activities, working closely with the Head of Risk to deliver an effective and comprehensive assurance framework. This will involve effectively measuring, monitoring and assessing compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, creating a compliance framework which is fit for purpose and which enables timely decision-making and managing compliance risk. You will develop and maintain a high level of compliance related understanding throughout the business and will provide organisational direction in this respect, putting appropriate controls in place which ensure compliance with all the relevant legal and regulatory requirements and that any breaches are identified and resolved and, for significant issues, are escalated to senior management. You will have significant experience within compliance gained within retail financial services or a pensions environment and will preferably experience of working in a start up, delivery driven, business. Despite the seniority this is a very ‘hands on’ role where you are likley to have no more than one or two direct reports.
