Description
Working for this high profile, evolving pension scheme provider you will provide expert statistical input into the design and quality assurance of a programme of primary research e.g. sampling strategies, weighting methodologies, imputation techniques and analysis of large and complex datasets this is likely to include such areas as pension contributions, employer characteristics, employment histories and employee characteristics. You will communicate analysis with Board, CEO and other stakeholders in relation to development of pension scheme operational requirements and the development and maintenance of a range of projection models covering areas such as pension and employment trends. You must have experience of using a wide range of statistical analysis tools and techniques and experience of using complex data to inform strategic business decisions. You should also have experience in the design and quality assurance of a programme of primary research e.g. sampling strategies, weighting methodologies, imputation technique. You will must have a good degree in a numerate subject ideally Mathematics or Statistics and ideally a Masters Degree or PhD and should have experience of using SAS or SPSS to analyse large, complex datasets and excellent Excel skills. You will ideally have some leadership experience and the ability to build effective relationships is paramount. Ideally you will have knowledge of pensions and the labour market but this is not essential. Candidates with previous experience of ONS data labs for the purpose of analysis or those that consider themselves likely to get ‘approved researcher’ status from ONS would be of particular interest.
