Description Our client has a vacancy for a 6 month fixed term contract for an experienced Applications Maintenance Developer (.Net) in their IT business systems team, to cover maternity leave within the Sheffield office. The role is based in a team of developers working on a number of various web and desktop products. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of applications development including project work, technical specification, development, documentation and unit testing. Successful candidates will already have had experience building Windows or Web based applications using the .Net Framework. In addition, you will need to demonstrate proven skills in C# and/or ASP.NET 2.0 and enthusiasm for software development. Experience of Microsoft Office SharePoint, Windows Workflow Foundation, XML, XSLT or SQL Server 2005 would be beneficial. This role will be ideally suited to a motivated and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working closely with other team members in a very busy department. You must be educated to degree level or equivalent. All candidates must be able to demonstrate a flexible approach and have the ability to prioritise their work, show initiative and deal with changing time scales/work loads. This role would suit a logical thinking individual with a professional manner.
